Jeep Cherokee is an SUV that Jeep released in 1974. However, if you're driving one these days, it's probably from either between 1984 and 2001 or from between 2014 and today.
In 1984, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 2.8-liter V6 engine were offered. By 1992, trims would range from base, Sport, and Laredo to Limited and Briarwood, and a 4.0-liter, six-cylinder engine would become optional. In 1993, a Country trim would come out, and in 1994, an SE trim would be offered, followed in 1996 by a Classic trim.
In 2014, there'd be two engines available -- a 2.4-liter I4 and a 3.2-liter V6 -- plus a nine-speed automatic transmission, which would come standard. You could also get either the Jeep Active Drive I or the Jeep Active Drive II four-wheel-drive (4WD) system. Features ranged from Uconnect infotainment to air conditioning and aluminum wheels.
For 2021, you could get Latitude, Latitude Plus, Latitude Lux, and 80th Anniversary Edition trims, plus Limited and Trailhawk. Features included alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and Selec-Terrain traction management, along with underbody skid plates and plenty more.
