The Dodge Neon line of compact cars originated in 1995, but if you're driving one of them these days, there's a good chance it's one of the sedans that ran from 2001 to 2005. The trims available during the first year ranged from Highline and ES to Competition and R/T. Two in-line four-cylinder engines were offered, one of which was high-output, and one could get 16-inch wheels, a dual chrome exhaust and spoiler, and more.

2003 saw a front-end revision, right before trims like SE, SXT, and SRT-4 trims became available, in 2005. A supercharged I4 engine was offered in the SRT-4 trim, as was a limited-slip differential. The SXT trim, on the other hand, had both Kicker audio and a six-disc CD changer. The model was replaced by Dodge Caliber after 2005.
